The action takes place in the city of New York. The user is able to freely explore the world around him, perform side and main missions. The player will have to take control of Alex Mercer, an ordinary person who discovered supernatural skills with which he could transform into a mutant, run around buildings and make incredible jumps. Prototype is an open-world third-person shooter action game. The only thing your hero knows is the ability for thermal imaging, finding infected characters (they are under the influence of the game's epidemic) and that you are attracted to Idaho. In the real world, we will run on walls, transform into other people, take away their memory, problems and money (which we do not need). Running on rooftops is the last century in the gaming industry. The gameplay did not offend the Prototype in the parkour scenes either. Also, you yourself change the structure of your body: it can take on the faceless forms of a water creature, or it can become armor that not a single bullet will take. It can be a giant metal chain, a deadly blade, or a shield with a claw that cannot be pierced by bullets or run over by car.

You decide what to switch to in the next fight. The first is the constant change of weapons. The character has several unique abilities due to which he suffers. In Prototype, many details are not disclosed, but the modern world with its current realities is perfectly inserted into the gameplay, where Alex will have to look for the instigators. He does not remember what happened to him before the experiment, does not know why he agreed to it, and it would be a mutual decision. The plot is based on the fact that the hero remained at a broken trough. It will be possible to return it only with great efforts. Now that you are fast-paced to find your way to the organization itself, to make them pay for what is perfect, nothing will stop you but memory.

New abilities and power can make you a super-being on the planet, but you want to love, rejoice and regain your memory, which the experiment took from you. IN Prototype we play as Alex Mercer - a man who fell under the experiences of one organization that made him the Prototype.
